A range of law firms are pressing ahead with plans to host their vacation schemes virtually this summer.

The impact of coronavirus led to spring vacation schemes being cancelled or postponed. However, with more time to implement systems and processes for delivery, law firms are now looking to host vacation schemes virtually this summer.

AllAboutLaw asked a wide variety of law firms to confirm their plans. Below is a list of firms that are hosting vacation schemes virtually.

Akin Gump

• Allen & Overy

• Ashurst

• Baker McKenzie

Clifford Chance

• Dentons

• Linklaters

• Mayer Brown

• Pinsent Masons

• Sidley Austin

• Simmons & Simmons

• Skadden

• Slaughter and May

• Travers Smith

• White & Case

Some firms, on the other hand, have cancelled their summer vacation scheme. This list will be updated as we receive more responses from law firms:

• Shoosmiths

There is more uncertainty when it comes to September’s training contract intake. For example, Dentons and Kennedys plan to proceed as planned in-person. Conversely, Ashurst and Baker McKenzie will welcome trainees virtually. Akin Gump, Shoosmiths and Skadden remain undecided.
