One of the infamous ‘chasers’ on ITV’s The Chase has become embroiled in a controversy centred around whether he allowed celebrities to win the show in order to get the money to charity.

Dr Shaun Wallace, known as ‘The Dark Destroyer’, is usually a merciless player when facing the public trying to remove money from him, but this month on a Celebrity Special, fans noticed something slightly dubious.

One fan even stated that he was getting the questions wrong on purpose and another stated that it was making them “angry” seeing the Chaser let the team win.

A spokesperson from the show stated that: “We absolutely refute any claims that The Chase is fixed in any way, the Chasers would never answer questions wrong deliberately.”

Whilst the money raised was going to a good cause, fans will remember this issue and hope that it doesn’t happen again.

If it does, however, then the Dark Destroyer might just be the one being caught - the hunter become the hunted.
