Tulisa Contostavlos broke down in tears in court this week as she pleaded guilty to drink-driving.

The former X-Factor judge received a 15 month ban from driving after she drove her Ferrari down the wrong side of the road in September last year, whilst under the influence of alcohol.

Police breathalyzer tests showed that Tulisa had 54 microgrammes of alcohol in her breath, where the legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

She was also ordered to pay £1,185 in costs as part of the charge, but a further charge of dangerous driving was dropped.

The prosecutor stated that he had admitted to “sleepwalking” or “sleepdriving” when the accident occurred near Southgate station.

Her lawyer, however, stated that she was exceptionally remorseful about what happened, and described the accident as a minor collision, highlighting that the people in the other care were able to drive home.

The lawyer, Kirsty Brimelow QC, told the court that Tulisa “immediately co-operated with police,” and that she “hadn’t eaten much” before the incident, indicating her slight build to be partially to blame. “She has very much learned her lesson,” Brimelow said of the former N-Dubz star.

Whilst the sentence could have been far worse for Tulisa, her lawyer stated the ban will cause difficulties in the singer getting work in the USA.

Personally, we think Tulisa should probably stop Playing with Fire if she doesn’t want to get burnt.
