UK law firm Burges Salmon has increased its trainee intake for 2014 by 12.5% compared to the previous year.
The firm are now planning to take on 27 trainees, in comparison to 24 in 2013. Burges Salmon also plan to increase its trainee intake over the new few years, setting a target of hiring 30 trainees to start in 2017.
The firm have not cut its trainee intake over the past few years, priding themselves on being one of the few firms not to do so. The increased numbers of intake will not affect retention rates, which have averaged 94% over the past three years.
Robert Halton, Director of Human Resources at Burges Salmon, said, “We are delighted to be able to report an increase in the number of trainees we are taking on, particularly as increasing our investment in our trainees is further investment in the future of the firm."
