Just when you thought it was safe to settle down with a hot mug of cocoa and relax after a turbulent start to the new university year… Vacation scheme applications are now open! AllAboutLaw.co.uk highly recommend aspiring solicitors and even those toying with the idea of a career in law to apply for a vacation scheme. After all, they’re half the battle of securing a training contract!
There’s still a few months before the 31 January 2015 deadline, but remember that vacation schemes are very competitive and, in the unfortunate event you receive a rejection letter, you can act on feedback and make your subsequent applications even better.
That’s not to say that you should flood the inbox’s of law firms with hundreds of applications. Quality should always trump quantity, and AllAboutLaw.co.uk recommend you make a maximum of ten applications. Moreover, each application should be tailored to each law firm, and therefore you need to research a firm, research it some more and research it again!
AllAboutLaw.co.uk have a 2015 Vacation Scheme Deadlines hub! It’s a harbour for all the top vacation scheme opportunities with the country’s top law firms, you’ll be able to search what’s on offer and apply until the cow’s come home!
Because we’re a kind bunch here at AllAboutLaw.co.uk, we’ve separated the vacation schemes on offer into City firms, international firms, national firms, US firms and Scottish firms.
Remember, the deadline for most vacation scheme applications is 31 January, but it’s always better to come out swinging rather than leaving it to the final round.
Ding-ding! Let the vacation scheme applications commence!
