New Johannesburg International Secondment Option for Norton Rose Fulbright Trainees
May 28, 2014
Trainees in the London office at international law firm Norton Rose Fulbright will now have the option to spend six months in the Johannesburg office as part of their training contract.
As of October 2014, London-based trainees at the firm will have the opportunity to fly over to the South African city to join the Norton Rose Fulbright team based over there, and vice versa, as one of their training contract seats.
This further expands the options currently available as locations. Trainees could alternatively zip over to offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Perth, Sydney, and some European cities for an international secondment too. This international perspective is really important for the firm.
Andrew McEachern, global director of people and development, Norton Rose Fulbright said: “As we continue to expand the practice, we are also developing the opportunities for our trainees and people. The new rotation between the UK and Johannesburg is very good news for an international and growing practice like ours; people spending time between our international offices allows us to strengthen our cultural alignment and understanding across the business.”
