How to work out your UCAS points

To work out your UCAS points, you simply have to convert each grade you were awarded into a score.
Add up the scores and, bingo, you’ve got your UCAS points.
The UCAS tariff system actually changed in 2017. Below are the most up-to-date tariff points for the most common qualifications:
A-Levels
A* = 56
A = 48
B = 40
C = 32
D = 24
E = 16
AS-Levels
A = 20
B = 16
C = 12
D = 10
E = 6
International Baccalaureate (IBO Certificate in Higher Level)
H7 = 56
H6 = 48
H5 = 32
H4 = 24
H3 = 12
H2 = 0
H1 = 0
International Baccalaureate (IBO Certificate in Standard Level)
S7 = 28
S6 = 24
S5 = 16
S4 = 12
S3 = 6
S2 = 0
S1 = 0
Scottish Advanced Higher
A = 56
B = 48
C = 40
D = 32
Scottish Higher
A = 33
B = 27
C = 21
D = 15
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma
D*D*D* = 168
D*D*D = 160
D*DD = 152
DDD = 144
DDM = 128
DMM = 112
MMM = 96
MMP = 80
MPP = 64
PPP = 48
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma

So, for example, if you got one A*, one A and one B in your A-Levels, your total UCAS points would be: 144 UCAS points.
