$1 Billion Settlement Turned Down

For some people, a £644 million divorce settlement just isn’t enough.
Yep, you read correctly. The ex-wife of oil magnate Harold Hamm has rejected a hand written cheque that amount to almost $1 billion - $974,790,317.77 to be precise.
Sue Ann Arnall’s lawyers said the cheque was turned down because it could hurt her chances of appealing for more. (“More!?” Yeah, us too.).
Hamm is chief executive of drilling company Continental Resources. Arnall was a former Continental executive who reckons that her ex-husbands fortune is worth $18 billion, and that it was a joint effort between Hamm and Arnall to build this fortune.
As an aside, you could buy 195,744,680 Boots Meal Deals with £644 million. Not bad.
