Our Aspire programme

Aspire is our vacation scheme, run by Foot Anstey McKees in Northern Ireland.

Aspire is our vacation scheme open to all, allowing candidates to apply for our training contract, whilst learning about the firm and gaining work experience. During the five-day paid programme, you will gain legal work experience and have exposure to partners, associates and trainees working on live cases. You’ll also experience our culture and find out more about our sector approach. The week ends with a training contract assessment centre day and those successful will be offered a place on our trainee programme.

This year's Aspire programme will run in Northern Ireland w/c 8 June 2026.

This offers one week's paid work experience, providing individuals with the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the firm, practical experience, and professional skills development. Successful candidates will typically gain hands-on experience being based in one team for a series of days with the support of an allocated supervisor and buddy.

On the final day (Friday) of the programme, individuals will complete a training contract assessment. Further details of what this entails can be found on the Foot Anstey website.

Applications open on Monday 13 October 2025 and close on Friday 2 January 2026. If successful, candidates will be invited to complete their online assessment after this date and will need to do so by Monday 2 February 2026.
