The Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) is a new postgraduate law course that was introduced by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). It ultimately replaces the LPC and GDL courses, and will be a “super-exam” for graduates seeking to qualify as solicitors. There are a few things to be aware of when it comes to the SQE - have a read of our advice about it in this section and browse the SQE preparation courses on offer below.
Our SQE1 Preparation course focuses on the key legal practice areas that are examined in both stages of the SQE assessments. It includes materials and revision opportunities for the core areas of law from your previous studies.
If you've passed SQE1, our SQE2 Preparation course offers extensive diagnostic testing and practise of SQE2-style tasks across all SQE legal contexts. This is also available for LPC graduates who have undertaken two years of recognised qualifying work experience and are looking to pass the SQE2 assessment as an equivalent to the LPC period of recognised training.
The SQE1&2 Diploma provides you with comprehensive preparation for both SQE exams. You will develop the Functioning Legal Knowledge (FLK) that is assessed in both SQE1 and SQE2, along with the core legal skills that are tested in SQE2.
