A man from Wales who live-streamed a court case in Cardiff has himself been arrested for a month.
David Davies, who is 39 years old and hails from Rhondda Cynon Taff, was live-streaming the footage to Facebook as someone took the stand to give evidence at Cardiff Crown Court last week.
Davies was arrested when he returned to the court on Tuesday, and he was sentenced by the judge for being in contempt of the court later the same day.
As a blanket rule, there are no cameras allowed in the courts of England and Wales.
South Wales Police were alerted by a member of the public who had seen the footage online and become concerned by its source.
PC Richard Sellek said to the BBC: "Unfortunately, cases such as this are becoming more and more commonplace. There are prominent notices within all courts about the use of mobile phones before people enter the courtroom.
"This should serve as a warning to others who think that the law does not apply to them."
