The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has revealed plans to get rid of limits on the number of trainees law firms in the UK can take on each year.
The suggestion to scrap the limit forms part of reforms in training that the SRA announced earlier in the year.
A representative of the SRA said: “There is no data to support the assumption that the quality of training and supervision is assured by specifying minimum numbers and it may unjustifiably restrict the number of training places available.”
