Cripps Application Process

The first step in securing a training contract with Cripps is to complete our training contract application form.

Our recruitment window opened on 13 October 2025 and will close on 4 January 2026. This is to apply for training contracts to start in 2027 and 2028.

Online application form

The application form will ask you to provide your employment details, education history and details of any work experience.

Online assessment and video interview

In the second stage of the process, you’ll be invited to complete a series of online assessments followed by an on-demand video interview. These stages are designed to help us get to know you better and assess your potential – not your legal knowledge.

There will also be some questions which help us get to know you better and understand your motivations for applying to Cripps. This is your opportunity to show us who you are beyond your CV, and to highlight why you believe Cripps is the right place to start your legal career.

You don’t need any prior legal experience to succeed here. However, we strongly recommend taking the time to research the Firm, our values, and the work we do. This will help you approach the assessments with confidence and demonstrate your genuine interest in joining us.

Assessment day

For the final stage, successful candidates will be invited to our training contract assessment day. You’ll spend the day at our offices, giving you the chance to experience our culture first-hand and learn more about life at Cripps. Throughout the day, you’ll take part in a mix of individual tasks, group exercises, and a partner interview. It’s also a great opportunity to meet our people, ask questions, and get a real feel for what it’s like to be part of the team.

Our assessment day will take place on Thursday 26 March 2026.

Following completion of our assessment day, we will make offers to candidates for either a 2027 or 2028 training contract start date.
