Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP Application Process
Skadden's training contract application process is very unique. Make sure you are familiar with the steps you need to take before applying for an opportunity at the firm.
Stage one
If you are interested in becoming a trainee at Skadden, you will need to submit an online application. The firm requires students to have a 2:1 or above and to be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in commercial law.
Applications open on 1st September and close on 1st December. Skadden does not recruit on a rolling basis but you are encouraged to not leave it to the last minute to submit your application.
Stage two
If you progress to the next stage, you will be required to complete a written exercise in December.
Stage three
Should you score highly at the written exercise, you will be invited to complete a video interview with two lawyers.
Stage four
The last part of the process is the vacation scheme. During this stage you will be assessed on your work product in your department, a group research task and a final interview.
Shortly after your vacation scheme, the graduate recruitment team will contact you to let you know if you have successfully secured a training contract with the firm.
