Ashfords have a cross firm environmental group leading their initiatives in this area. This group is responsible for tracking their performance and leading on the design and implementation of the actions that they need to take to improve. 

Some of the actions they are taking include:

Monitoring their emissions annually: To track their performance and hold themselves accountable to reducing they impact each year.

Annual resource and emission reductions: Introducing an increasing number of measures to reduce their negative impact on the environment such as lower electricity use, increasing use of sustainable materials, moving toward local supply chains, reducing commuting and business travel – and much more.

Investing in sustainability: Financial investment in projects that negate their C02 emissions through, for example, tree planting; as well as toward projects that contribute to novel research in sustainability, such as seaweed farming.
