As part of Ashurst's ongoing commitment to a drive towards a more sustainable environment, they have pledged their allegiance to the Sustainable Recruitment Alliance. As part of this, the firm no longer provide merchandise or paper leaflets at careers fairs and instead use virtual links to their website and Early Careers recruitment information. The small amount of merchandise that they provide to their campus ambassadors has been responsibly sourced from local suppliers and is made from recycled materials. Where possible, they have significantly reduced the amount of in-person events that they attend with a view to reducing their carbon footprint through travel. The firm have instead utilised the new virtual way of working to connect with a broad range of prospective applicants at a time and place that is convenient for them.
