Sustainability at Gowling WLG

Gowling WLG has an Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) Strategy with 30+ themes and four current headline programmes – Planet+, Wellbeing+, Inclusion for All and Responsible Business. Climate has been core to the Planet+/environmental sustainability approach since 2017 with, most recently, a commitment made to setting science based targets. Five continuous improvement standards are in place including ISO14001(environment) and ISO50001(energy) and the firm is a signatory to the UN Global Compact. Regular internal and external sustainability-focussed audits are carried out and carbon data (externally reviewed) is reported in financial accounts and plans summarised in the carbon reduction plan.
