Hogan Lovells Sustainability
In alignment with Hogan Lovells' dedication to sustainability, the firm stands as a signatory to both the UN Business Ambition for 1.5°C and the Race to Zero initiatives.
These commitments propel the firm towards the development and implementation of Science Based Targets aimed at reducing carbon emissions and achieving net zero status. With a keen focus on curbing climate impact, the firm has established greenhouse gas emissions reduction objectives that harmonize with the goal of capping global average temperature rise at 1.5°C.
These targets encompass a substantial 90% reduction within the near term, targeted for both Scope 1 and Scope 2 (market) emissions by 2030. Moreover, Hogan Lovells has embraced a near term engagement objective, binding 75% of their suppliers in terms of emissions. This engagement spans across various facets, including purchased goods and services, capital goods, upstream transport, distribution, and business travel. Suppliers are urged to set science-based emission reduction targets.
Pioneering a comprehensive approach, Hogan Lovells also maintains a 2050 Net Zero target, spanning all three scopes of emissions. To delve deeper into the firm's sustainable endeavors, visit here: https://www.hoganlovells.com/en/responsible-business/operating-sustainably
