Training Contract
As the UK's leading full-service law firm, we believe we have something genuinely different to offer our trainee solicitors.
As a full-service law firm, we have a wide range of seats available for you to train in. You'll undertake four seats over two years, giving you a breadth of experience across the individual or business stream:
- Individual – Medical Negligence, Serious Injury, Asbestos & Occupational Disease, Court of Protection, Public Law, Family Law, Private Client
- Business - Corporate, Banking & Finance, Restructuring & Insolvency, Real Estate, Construction, Planning, Real Estate Disputes, Employment, Litigation, Commercial & Intellectual Property, Pensions, Regulatory
Some of our teams work nationally and each office offers different seat options dependent on department’s availability and business need.

Vacation Scheme
Going forward IM is no longer having a vacation scheme. Instead, everybody who passes the assessment centre will need to attend a one-day Insight Day so everyone can experience life at IM in-person.

Your Training
Under our Paralegal Apprenticeship programme you’ll receive:
- Job-specific training through working alongside experienced staff.
- A competency-based qualification to demonstrate you have the skills required to carry out the role of a paralegal.
- A technical qualification that could start your journey to becoming a qualified solicitor.
