Family law: Life, litigation and real-world client work
What is it really like to practise family law? In this session, the BPP team will interview a panel of practising family lawyers to explore the realities of working in this challenging and deeply human area of practice. The discussion will cover the nature of the work, the skills required to succeed and the personal qualities that are particularly important when advising clients through significant life events. Students will gain a clearer understanding of the day-to-day experience of family lawyers and the routes into this rewarding specialism.

Brabners Application Process
The application processes are designed to help the firm get to know you and why you believe that a career at Brabners is right for you.
The selection process is overseen by the training principal, Rupert Gill, as well as the training partners, who are based throughout their offices in Liverpool, Manchester, Lancashire and Leeds.
It’s advised you to research Brabners thoroughly. As a firm, they work hard to ensure that their culture and values are at the heart of everything they do, so it’s important to consider how you would contribute to this if you joined them. Brabners pride themselves on innovation, diversity and sustainability, so your application should demonstrate what inspires you and how you can make the difference.
Whilst they receive a high volume of applications, the training partners read every single one.
