Family law: Life, litigation and real-world client work
What is it really like to practise family law? In this session, the BPP team will interview a panel of practising family lawyers to explore the realities of working in this challenging and deeply human area of practice. The discussion will cover the nature of the work, the skills required to succeed and the personal qualities that are particularly important when advising clients through significant life events. Students will gain a clearer understanding of the day-to-day experience of family lawyers and the routes into this rewarding specialism.

Linklaters Diversity
Linklaters are keen to ensure that everyone in the firm feels welcomed and supported
Committed to equal opportunities
Linklaters champion Diversity & Inclusion. In doing so, the firm aims to attract the best talent, drive innovation, and create a workplace where everyone feels they belong. They are committed to creating an environment in which women are able to progress and all genders feel supported. Furthermore, Linklaters want to reflect the races, ethnicities, cultures and nationalities in the communities in which they operate. The firm strives to ensure personal background, social identity and socio-economic circumstances are no barrier to success. They want people of different age groups and life stages to be able to work together freely. Linklaters also seek an environment of inclusion and belonging for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions. And the firm wants to recognise and harness the unique talents and abilities of people living with disabilities. By promoting the diversity of their people, clients and communities, Linklaters wishes to create an inclusive culture in which everyone - regardless of background, identity or circumstance - can reach their full potential.
