Trowers & Hamlins Application Process

Each of our opportunities begins with an online application form. Once you have submitted your application, you will be invited to complete an online assessment which aims to consider your strengths alongside the role of a trainee solicitor.

If you are successful after this initial stage, the final stage for each scheme is an assessment centre. The assessment centre will comprise of a maximum of three exercises and an interview with two senior lawyers working at the office you applied to. Choosing our trainees and those who join us on a summer vacation scheme is very important to us so we will ask you a series of motivational, competency and strengths-based questions – some of which may focus on what you’ve told us in your application form. You’ll of course have the chance to ask us some questions too! Please note we assess all candidates for a training contract with a final interview at the end of your vacation scheme experience.
